Aleksandrinskiy theater

The beautiful building of Mikhailovskiy Theater was built in 30s

Komissarzhevskaya Academic Drama Theater
The Theater was created in the sieged Leningrad and worked though
the days of the Blocade. It is housed in a building which once
served for trade purposes. The theatre troupe is quite famous
and has performed in Spain, Italy, Greece, Bulgary, Yugoslavia,
Poland, Germany.

The Big Drama Theater
The idea if BDT founders was to create a theatre of "classic
tragedy, romantic drama and high comedy". In 1956 Tovstonogov
became head of the Teatre, and his talent and work resulted in
the Theater's world-wide fame and popularity. Later the Theater
was entitled Academic.
