Church of Christ's Resurrection
The Church of Christ's Resurrection, which is also known as the Savior on the Blood, is interesting as a kind of architectural accent in classical surroundings and was constructed on the site where Russian Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded by the terrorists on the 1st of March, 1881. Its facades are glazed with shaped bricks and ceramic tiles as well as decorated with mosaic panels.


Hermitage Museum
The State Hermitage Museum's collections number over 3 million items presenting the history of the world art from the Stone Age to our days. Among the gems of the Hermitage there are paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Titian, Giorgone, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, and other great artists. The Hermitage also boasts numerous objects from all over the world.


Peter and Paul Fortress
The Peter and Paul Fortress, located in the historical part of St. Petersburg, is one of the city's main highlights. The fortress, founded in 1703 to protect the Neva lands from the Swedes, was the first building of the new Russian capital and the gilded spire of the Peter and paul Cathedral with the figure of the angel on the top is one of the city symbols.
